Alumni Alice Thai

altAlice Thai is a student of the Class of 2014 at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is majoring in Political Science and she is very involved in the University Buddhist Association and the Rotaract club on her campus. Her ethnic background consists of Vietnamese, Burmese, and Chinese, but being a part of the TACL internship has made her very interested in Taiwanese political affairs. She aspires to be a lawyer in the future, hoping to make a difference in the community.  She loves sunny weather (as she is SoCal born and bred), meeting new people, reading fictional novels, watching Korean and Taiwanese dramas, traveling, and doing things that she has never done before. She is a very friendly gal who loves meeting people, so if you are a UCLA student interested in the TACL program or if you were a participant of it, please contact her This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Internship Reflection:  It gives interns the opportunity to make valuable connections that will help them in any career field they work in. I am absolutely sure that the connections that I have made with these people will benefit me some time in my lifetime.  TACL has truly ignited a spark within me. It is now burning and it has convinced me, without a doubt, that I will have a bright future. So now, I am very excited to see what my future will bring.  I am not Taiwanese. But the people of the Taiwanese American Citizens League welcomed me anyway and for that, I am eternally grateful.
