
Cynthia Liao grew up in Cerritos, CA. She graduated from Whitney High School in 2005 and then from Stanford University with a B.A. in Asian American Studies and an M.A. in Sociology. During college, Cynthia got involved with TACL as a Political Intern in the Los Angeles district office of then-Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante. She also interned with the North American Taiwanese Women's Association II and served as Program Co-Coordinator for the 2007 ITASA West Coast Conference at Stanford. Outside of the Taiwanese American community, Cynthia was also involved in a number of Asian American and social justice issues and organizations both on- and off-campus. After working as a government paralegal for two years after graduation, Cynthia is now a student at Yale Law School.
