Deborah Lai graduated from Vivian Webb School, a boarding high school in Claremont and was a recipient of the Taiwanese American Community Scholarship in 2008. She is attending Brown University majoring in International Relations. In her spare time, she enjoys pole-vaulting, playing tennis, painting, reading novels, and eating authentic Asian cuisine. She interned for Senator Barbara Boxer for the 2008 Political Internship. And while her future career plans remain undecided, she is certain that, whatever endeavors she embark on, they will include being active in the Taiwanese American community.
