Ed Chen is a political communications professional with local, state and national campaign experience. He served as Deputy Regional Communications Director for McCain-Palin 2008, Staff for Congressman Jeff Miller, and on the 2010 campaign for Steve Poizner. Starting as an intern political interns program in 2001, he went on and became the youngest school board member of the Temple City Unified School District and served as staff member to both houses of the California Legislature.
Ed has made his mark in California politics as Deputy Coalitions Director for Governor Schwarzenegger's re-election campaign and later served as Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the Governor's Inaugural Committee. Subsequently, he was appointed by Board of Equalization Member Michelle Steel as Public Affairs Director for the Third District. He served as a two-term President for TAP in LA from 2008-2010, and helps the Political Internship as the Sacramento Trip Coordinator, member of the Selection Committee, and mentor. In his spare time, Ed enjoys poetry, long walks on the beach and volunteering his time as a reserve in the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department.
