Agnes Chiao graduated from Mark Keppel High School, and is currently attending UC San Diego. Her family immigrated from Taiwan in 1998. She said, “Even though it was difficult to adapt to a new environment, the immigration is the best choice my parents could've possibly made.” She was a recipient of the 2009 Taiwanese American Community Scholarship, and interned for Congressman Adam Schiff for the 2009 Political Internship. She served as the Finance Chair for the 2010 ITASA West Coast Conference at UCSD. Agnes loves food and playing basketball.

"Overall, my summer was filled with overflowing TACL events and people, I felt enriched through the experience I have gained and the people I have met. I am truly glad I was part of the 2009 TACL Political Internship, the past two months felt like a giant party with thrilling emotions."
