From the President:

Dear TAP friends,
November is already upon us, and the time to start reflecting on the past year, and give thanks for all of our blessings. The recent California Wildfires has affected thousands of people close by. TAP encourages everyone to join in helping with relief and recovery efforts for the wildfires victims. You can make a donation to the Taiwan Center of Greater Los Angeles. Please make your donation check to Taiwan Center, memo: California Wildfires Relief Fund, send it to 3001 Walnut Grove Ave., Rosemead, CA 91770.

After they collect our community's donation, they will hand it to the genial rescue organization, such as the American Red Cross. Taiwan Center Foundation of Greater Los Angeles is a non-profit organization under the IRS Code 501(C) 3. Your contribution is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Nov. 6th was Election Day, and we hope everyone exercised their Democratic right as citizen's to go out and vote! There were several Asian American candidates as well as Taiwanese Americans that ran for positions. Make sure you research them and help support their bids in the future, if you agree with their ideals and goals. TAP congratulates our own member and a former TACL Political Intern, for winning a seat on the Board of Hacienda-La Puente Unified School District!

Hope to see you at this month's events, there are several community events, as well as our own events ranging from social, cultural, professional, and community service. The events will help expand your network, help develop you professionally, and help you give back to the community. TAP stresses the importance of volunteering our time to help others, especially as the Holiday season is fast approaching.

Thank you,

Ben Ling
TAP President
