From Ed, TAP President:

Happy Lunar New Year! Thanks to those of you who took time out of your busy holiday schedule and joined us at our December events.  We had a successful month with lots of events that kept us busy; from collecting toy donations at our annual Christmas dinner (which was a blast!) to donating the toys and seeing the happy faces of the Children at the Heartfelt Foundation event, we concluded the year on positive philanthropic note!

We also had a great New Years Eve party at The Annex in the Hollywood and Highland complex that was catered by Wolfgang Puck (pictures to come soon).

This month and the next, we continue with events to help people to develop professionally, to network, make new friends, bring the community together, and promote and preserve our identity.

Just wanted to remind everyone about our annua Lunar New Year dinner this upcoming Saturday, January 31, 2009.  For more details, please visit our e-vite here:

http://www.evite.com/app/publicUrl/ACNAZPZNYTPKPJOFEFIT/lunardinner

Please pay here:

http://taplunardinner.eventbrite.com/

Seats are filling up fast, so don't wait until the last minute!

Stay tuned for details of our upcoming TAPpy Hour in February.  Send me an email at Ed.Chen@tacl.org to be added to our evite list!  Again – don't forget to join us on Facebook.com and/or LinkedIn.com.

If you have any college friends or family, please pass on the info about the TACL Political Internship Program. It aims to develop young community leaders here in the US by placing them in elected official's offices in LA, OC, SF, and Washington DC. Info is here: http://tacl.org/la/politicalinternship.html

See below for all of our upcoming events and opportunities.

Thank you,

Ed Chen
TAP President
