Karen is a DC-born, New England raised and educated Taiwanese American professional living, breathing, and working in the greater Boston area. In addition to serving as a founding member of the Boston chapter of TAP, she is the current executive director of Taiwanese American Foundation (www.tafworld.org), a summer youth leadership conference. Though her day job as a user experience consultant keeps her occupied (literally) during the week, she is always looking for ways to bridge individuals and build community through events, projects, and just plain, wholesome fun. Phoebe Lee is the former National President and a current member of the Board of Directors for ITASA (Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Student Association). Phoebe has worked for Asian American children advocacy organizations and philanthropy consulting firms. She ties her commitment to the nonprofit sector with her focus on immigration and education policies. Phoebe is also currently a graduate student studying Education Policy and Management at Harvard University and a certified high school social studies teacher in New York. She was a TACL 2005 Political Intern and calls Los Angeles her home.
