Feature Title

The purpose of the Taiwanese American Citizens League is to enhance the quality of life for Taiwanese Americans. Our work is largely devoted to building an understanding of Taiwanese American heritage encouraging pride in Taiwanese American identity, developing a strong Taiwanese American community, advocating around issues pertinent to Taiwanese Americans, and helping to contribute to our culture, ever richer in its diversity.

Capsule Story Taiwan Center Hosts Annual Closing Ceremony

   The morning of August 12th, the Taiwan Center is bedecked in multicolored balloons, brimming with oriental cuisine and bustling with people. These festivities are for the annual closing ceremony, which honors the activities of various Taiwanese-American organizations as well as the TACL Journalism and Internship and TACL Political Internship programs.
The ceremony starts off with the journalism interns. May Lin, coordinator of the internship that summer, directs the high school students as they present activities they had participated in that summer, ranging from workshops with Congresswoman Yeh of Taiwan, to fieldtrips to hear spoken word at L.A.��s Da Poetry Lounge, the annual NATMA conference.

Capsule Story Taiwanese United Fund Cultural Night 2006 "Visions in 2031"

   Wang Shirong, Taiwan Representatives in Switzerland; Switzerland is due to a number of important international organizations, Communities, the high-level personnel arrangements. European countries mainly focus on the strengthening of the foreign operators. Graduated from the Faculty of Law at National Taiwan University, and has studied in the United States, Japan, Europe and other places Wang Shirong, fluent in English. A number of international organizations had been added cadres, international experience and contacts are filled by recruiting high-level locking for reusable objects; during the previous cabinet reshuffle, Wang Shirong spent by the labor law, the candidate has been one of Labor Affairs.

   I firmly believe that it��s important for the individual to serve the community because, as humans, everything we do is connected to our community. Communities are built out of the need to preserve and protect ourselves and to make us more complete as human beings. Considering that, I want to discuss the Taiwanese American community in particular, and why, as Taiwanese American individuals, it is so important for us to serve it, to be a part of this community.
