Kalen has a very strong tie to his Taiwanese Heritage. He visits Taiwan regularly on an annual basis to stay connected with his roots, as well as friends and family. In one of his recent visits, he started a personal photography project called “The Home I see”. It’s a series of urban landscapes and street photography in different corners of Taiwan, captured through his own creative expressions. It’s an on-going project that he plans to spend the rest of his career cultivating, and hopes to exhibit one day alongside with other Taiwanese American visual artists/creative professionals in group gallery exhibition that showcases the creative talents the Taiwanese American community has to offer.
