Alissa Ko currently serves as the Deputy PAC Director for the Consumer Attorneys of California, raising millions of dollars to sustain its political program.  Ko began her career by participating in the Taiwanese American Citizens League Political Internship Program in 2002.  The program redirected her career path from the business world toward politics and inspired her passion for community service.  Ko graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving the Chancellor Service Award in 2003.  She volunteered as the Program Coordinator for the TACL Political Internship Program and was a tutor and mentor for the Orange County Asian Pacific Islander Community Alliance after-school program.  Later she worked for EMILYs List Campaign Corps program and was Deputy Campaign Manager in a top targeted State Senate race in Oregon.  Ko moved to Sacramento after the campaign and joined Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) where she assisted in raising organization and political funds.  While at the SEIU Local 1000, a 96,000 state employees union, she was the lead liaison for political, legislative, and community outreach in one of the seven regions of the state.  During her time at CAOC and SEIU, Ko recently served as President of California Young Democrats for two terms.  In 2009, she received the CYD Leadership Award.  She also served on the board of the National Womens Political Caucus-Capitol Chapter and Sacramento County Young Democrats.  She was awarded the TAP-LA Taiwanese American Achievement Award for Pioneer in Civic Service in 2011 and now serves as Director of External Relations for TACL National.
